Eternal Life Organization International Ministries (ELOIM) is a group of people passionately committed to improving access to healthcare, education, justice and rehabilitation for communities in Africa. We aim to restore the dignity and hope of those we serve by helping to provide humane conditions and services which help them to regain their dignity. We build and refurbish village medical and educational facilities to provide innovative services and work to change the attitudes of the societies we serve. Eternal Life Organization International Ministries (ELOIM) was founded in 2007 and duly registered in 2009 under the Non-Government Organizations Registration Statute 1989.Reg No: S.5914/8320 and USA UBI No:603-509-109.

In order to achieve our objectives, ELOI Ministries has established a Fivefold core values above which are enlightened into nine core organizational values. For consistency, these are set out below:
1. Integrity, transparency and accountability underpin the approach of all Organization Departments, management and support staff to their duties and responsibilities. All Organization personnel are expected to be truthful, reliable, and accountable for their actions.
2. Equity and fairness are important principles that underlie ELOI Ministries’ human resource management and development objectives, policies and programmes. ELOI Ministries is an equal opportunity employer that believes in implementing a responsive performance-based reward system to attract and retain highly competent and motivated personnel.
3. Empathy entails getting concerned with and contributing to the resolution of problems of individual internal and external customers that may have either a direct or an indirect bearing on the smooth operation of the Organization.
4. Community focus refers to ELOI Ministries’ conviction that the community/client constitutes the primary reason for the organization’s existence. ELOI Ministries’ approach to programme design and delivery, therefore, seeks first to respond to and satisfy identified needs of the different community segments that are served by the Organization. ELOI Ministries will be guided by the principle of providing value-for-money to all its clients.
5. Teamwork is key to the successful achievement of ELOI Ministries’ endeavors, right from the sharing of a common vision, mission and objectives, to the mutual support that individuals are expected to extend to one another to ensure cost effective implementation of planned activities.
6. Professionalism demands, inter alia, a thorough knowledge of one’s field of endeavor as well as demonstration of skill, high ethical standards, and respect for ELOI Ministries’ clients and other stakeholders.
7. Flexibility requires the Organization to design programmes that meet the expectations of the community by taking into account constraints such as professional commitments, family commitments and distance.
8. Innovativeness is the key to continuous improvement. The Organization shall encourage staff to come up with new ideas as long as they help to fulfill the Organization’s mandate. The existing decentralized framework and the planning system, which is cascaded from the strategic level through the tactical level to the operational level, provides the necessary incentives for innovation.
9. Sustainability calls for ensuring that ELOI Ministries attains sufficiently high levels of surplus ability to meet the operational and development needs of the Organization over the years. Surplus ability will, however, be pursued while having regard to the Organization’s social responsibilities, as a responsible corporate citizen.
The sustainability of this Organization is guaranteed on grounds that “knowledge is power” and that this knowledge can be transmitted from one person to another. Equipping the people with knowledge will reduce on ignorance first, and guarantee them with long life for sustainable development.

• ELOI Ministries is a Non Discriminating Organization. Our Projects and Programs DO NOT require Exposure, Adherence to, or Conversion to our Religious Doctrine in order to be a Beneficiary.
• ELOI Ministries Does Not Discriminate Beneficiaries based on Age, Gender, Tribe, Race, Creed, Color, Disability, Nationality, Marital or Family status, Political or Religious Affiliations.
ELOI Ministries Program's beneficiaries are not encouraged or required to learn about, adhere to, or convert to ELOI Ministries’ Religious Doctrine as a Condition of Receiving our Services.

Major Objectives

1. Education - fighting illiteracy, restoring self-esteem and equipping people in poor communities with informal and formal education and vocational, creative training.
2. Healthcare - providing preventative, curative and palliative healthcare to poor communities from birth to death.
3. Justice - equipping people in poor communities, lawyers and the judiciary with legal knowledge as well as providing legal and paralegal services.
4. Community Reintegration - breaking the cycle of crime, continuing rehabilitation and reintegration and giving hope and dignity to poor people & their families for both improved and harmonious living.

Specific Objectives

1. To build character and welfare of the destitute children in and outside the education institutions. This also includes orphaned, street children and the disabled.
2. Build the capacity and promote health service providers with skills on managing vulnerable groups within their communities.
3. Carry out sensitization and awareness campaigns about the killer diseases like HIV/AIDs, malaria, Tuberculosis to mention but a few, 4. To develop and harness individual talents and capabilities of members and community target groups.
5. To set up and support education institutions which are based on or embrace the ideas of the Church, developing character on the foundation of the Christian gospel in developing character for a better Africa.
6. To promote income generating activities and create employment.
7. To initiate, promote and support the imparting of life skills including academics in children in and out of schools, developing individual talents for recreation, entertainment income generation and employment.
8. Open up churches and conduct crusades and conferences in and outside Uganda to impart Christ like character for harmonious community relationships and personality transformation due to having a common mind set.
9. To Initiate and build caring homes for the most vulnerable OVCs, youth and or old people, Advocate for the rights of vulnerable groups more so the rights of OVC.

FOUNDER STEVEN TENDO TENDO STEVEN

was born in Kampala to Christian royal parents in 1984. At the age of thirteen, he dedicated his life to serving God after losing both parents due to HIV/AIDS and he miraculously went through his studies without a sponsor or help from his family.

Education,

- Degree in Arts with Education (BAED)
- Diploma in Theology and a series of Certificates in Bible studies from Bible College (ABA BIBLE COLLEGE) in Kampala (2009)
He traveled throughout East and Parts of Central Africa as an Evangelist and lead charity activities with evangelistic teams. It was on the wedding of a member of these teams that he met his wife, Esther, a Gospel Singer and a minister of God.
STEVEN and ESTHER married in October 2011, forming a purposeful team that would be a powerful catalyst of hope in Africa and beyond.

Founding of ELOI Ministries

Following his years of ministry in Uganda, Tendo was inspired by God to open up a New Ministry called ETERNAL LIFE ORGANIZATION INTERNATIONAL MINISTRIES (ELOI MINISTRIES) in 2004. This move had always been on Steven’s heart, but the location and meaning didn’t become clear until four years later.
In 2007, STEVEN started a journey of registering the ministry with relevant Authorities in Uganda, he is grateful that the ministry is fully Registered& its Registration number is S.5914/8320 with offices operating in Kampala, the capital of Uganda, hence being determined to restore hope in the communities of Africa. ELOI MINISTRIES, a community based Non- Discriminative Christian NGO is touching both the city and the nation with the love of Jesus. Over 2,000,000 people have had an ELOIM experience on different outreaches, charity activities and conferences within and outside Uganda.
Since 2008 the Hope of an African Child, founded by Tendo Steven and other partners, has been able to transform a number of lives of young people, widows, orphans and destitute Children through mobile medical care, bible studies, provision of formal education , grooming and advocates for the rights of the children of Africa. Steven’s team feel so blessed and touched as they witness firsthand the hope and joy the children have found in Jesus Christ and Eloi Ministries’ experience.
STEVEN is passionate about building the church. He believes in a church that is relevant to the context of the day and to the people in the community in which it operates. About this Vision, God has already provided Land only 8kms off from Kampala the Capital, but still believing God for the instruments and funds for the structure. He thrives on raising leaders, empowering God’s people to bring hope and healing to their community by discipline individuals and nations for Jesus Christ.
